Jeffrey Beers founded Jeffrey Beers International (JBI) in 1986. It is now one of the world’s leading architecture and design firms. JBI specializes in working with expert artisans and craftsmen to give each project a singular look and feel. The firm’s projects include corporate interiors, hotel spaces, restaurants, nightclubs, retail stores, single-family homes and residential interiors.

In addition to the Isla Restaurant in Las Vegas, JBI’s recent projects include Daniel Boulud’s Brasserie, Wynn Las Vegas, FIFTY St. James in London, Ono in New York, Hilton Tokyo, Japonais New York and Chicago, Tabu Las Vegas, China Grill Mexico City and Todd’s English Bluezoo in Florida.

Prior to founding JBI, Beers was a project architect at I.M Pei & Partners. He earned an architecture degree at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and Fine Arts Degree in glass with Dale Chihuly. He was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship for further exploration of art and architecture abroad.

    JB: I have been very fortunate to work/study with these men: I. M. Pei, Oscar Niemeyer, and Dale Chihuly

    JB: The Piazza San Marco in Venice.  
  1. What architect or designer do you most admire? 
    JB: Phillipe Starck for his boldness and playfulness, all the while creating functional design.
  1. What deceased architect or designer is most overrated? 
    JB: Phillip Johnson.
  1. Who would you most like to design something for?JB: I would love to design a Hollywood film set.
  1. What is your favorite city or town?
    JB: Istanbul for inspiration.
  1. What building or structure do you most dislike?
    JB: Trump Tower.
  1. What is the best moment of the day? 
    JB: Dusk
  1. What is your design philosophy? 
    JB: Create an environment that allows the guest the luxury of escape, renewal, and relaxation.
