Description: Our oak beams and lumber come from genuine
Amish agricultural structures reclaimed from the Mid-Atlantic region
of the United States. This material is available with both hand-hewn
surface character and circle-sawn surface character. Both looks
hearken back to the kind of pre-industrial craft skills and folkways
that make authentic Amish goods so prized. As-is, these pieces range
from weathered silver to grey-brown. Once remilled, the wood reveals
mellow browns and khaki colors to subtle rose and silver hues. The
remarkable heritage of this material adds a special spirit of history
and meaning to any project.
