Description: TerraMai’s Asian Rosewood beams and
lumber come from two closely related species within the genus Pterocarpus
(macrocarpus and indicus). Together, these woods
are commonly referred to as Asian Rosewood or Narra. They are locally
prized both for their luminous beauty and for their extreme hardness.
Asian rosewood ranges in color from vibrant golds to deep rose and
burgundy hues. It is among the hardest wood species in the world.
