humboldt barn redwood turning blocks
These redwood blocks are relics from a bygone era.
Clear, all-heart, old-growth redwood of this quality just no longer
exists in new lumber. These blocks are suitable for a variety of
applications – including furniture and finish installations.
These pieces come from an 1890’s-era barn in Humboldt County
on the North Coast of California – the heart of redwood country.
As-is, these pieces exhibit a weathered grey patina, with some areas
of white paint. Remilled, they offer the splendor of old-growth,
dense-grain, rich burgundy redwood. This inventory is a bargain
at $5 per board foot. Purchase must be per unit, with approximately
200 board feet per unit.
