mix "skins"
These World Mix “skins” are rich with
color, texture and grain pattern. We call this inventory “skins”
because it comes from the weathered outer layers of our World Mix
tropical hardwood lumber. The skins, or “jackets” as
they are also called, are peeled off as part of the remilling process
that turns this reclaimed exotic hardwood packing crate lumber into
our World Mix flooring. The thickness of these pieces varies between
1/4” and 1/2”. Our World Mix includes dozens of exotic
hardwood species with a wild variety of color, grain pattern and
other character. This material is ideally suited for paneling and
siding applications that call for a distinctive look. The weathered
as-is faces and the resawn fresh-cut faces offer two different options
– both striking and compelling in their own way. This inventory
is a unique value at $1 per board foot. Purchase must be per unit,
with approximately 300 board feet per unit.
